Everly Jean's Birth
Everly Jean Elley took her first breath at 1:11am on Friday 26th June 2020. Just a little lady weighing 6lb 4oz. Ry, Jonte, Mika and I are completely smitten
I can't thank you enough for everything you taught us at Hypnobirthing! I started using the tools and practices early with Covid happening. It was amazing and so effective! Everything in my world changed, from my appointments being either over the phone, cancelled or in full PPE to my birth looking like it would be far from what I had wanted due to the restrictions.
Thanks to your education and the knowledge and tools you equipped us with, I managed to remain calm and accepting of our 'new normal', taking the changes in my stride and remaining focused on what was most important, bringing my little one into the world safely. I was also diagnosed with gestational diabetes which in the past would have rocked me and caused a lot of anxiety. Instead, I accepted it and adjusted my lifestyle and took it in my stride. I was able to manage it by diet and there were no consequences for Everly thanks to how well it was managed.
Due to the diabetes, the one thing I really didn't want to happen became my reality, being induced. The birth was so far from what I had envisioned, 2 days of frequent 'small' contractions, then when the time came I went from 2.5cm to fully dialated in 45mins and she was here in 2 hours. No waterbirth, drugs or gas. The only thing I requested and got was music to be played.
Ryan was AMAZING!! He brought so many hypnobirthing tools into the room and kept me calm and focused. It was a beautiful birth and as soon as Everly was placed on my chest, nothing else in the world mattered.
So thank you again so so much for everything! We are so grateful for what you taught us.
